Philadelphia Eagles Fly On Social Video

Ahead of the NFL Playoffs, insights from Tubular Labs showed us which teams dominated social video during the regular season (Sept. 8, 2022-Jan. 8, 2023). Coincidentally, many of those teams also won on the field. Three of the top five teams – the Philadelphia Eagles, Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs – won their respective divisions, while the Dallas Cowboys (No. 5 by video views) also made the playoff field.

  • The Eagles also ranked first in total reg. season video uploads across their social channels, with 3,181 videos, while the Bills didn't crack the top five.

  • In total, eight of the top 10 teams by video views were playoff-bound, showing that good performance on the field can be rewarded with better performance on social media.

  • Fan base size also plays a role in video views, of course. The Eagles, Packers and Cowboys have some of the largest follower counts across social platforms.
