CCR Media’s Shea Kelly On The Value Of Embracing Complexity

In the latest video from our Thought Leaders Circle series, CCR Media CEO Shea Kelly talks about how embracing the complexity of their clients’ media monitoring needs has helped CCR Media to stand out and become a valued partner and industry leader.

SHEA KELLY:

Over the last 25 years, what we've noticed is where we differentiate.

You know, I look at other people that have done some similar things and they come from a software company background and they don't know what it really takes to deliver quality infrastructure.

Or it's an internal team, and so delivering at scale and delivering the quality, especially as the complexity

rises, is hard. And then to keep up, you've got compliance and security and all these things that are are being put on these teams.

From our perspective, we come from that space, we get that. That is normal for us. And that's really where we've seen us be a lot different than other people in the space.

The problem of actually delivering quality at scale in this new world that has come about more and more in the last year, four or five years, and to be able to go and deliver a high quality signal all over the country.

It's the the same experience for our customers.

They don't have to change everything.

We deal with the complexity.

One example that recently came up was was that for us to deliver at scale we had a situation where the cost of transcoding was way too high per unit per channel.

So we developed our own patent pending transcoding solution that is cost effective. Otherwise, prices would have been way too high.

So that's what we do. We really try to face the technology challenges in a cost effective manner while still delivering the quality we are known for.
