Roku Throwing A Super Bowl Party For The Big Game Commercials

Commercials are among the highlights of the Super Bowl. Fox is selling 30-second spots for a record $8 million in this year’s game, which will be watched by more than 100 million fans.

Roku is taking advantage of the fascination with Super Bowl commercials with Best of Big Game Commercials, a series of special features that will premier on Roku’s Sports Zone this week.

Best of Big Game Commercials is hosted by Zoë Ruderman, chief content officer of Adweek, which helped create the feature. Episodes were shot in the Adweek newsroom in New York.

Topics covered by the features include Top 25 Countdown: Most Memorable Ads of the Past 25 Years, Big Game Ads of 2025: Ads You’ll See This Year, Big Game Trivia, Your Burning Questions Answered, Story Behind the Spot, focusing on spots from sponsors such as DoorDash, Brands Coming Back and To Celeb or Not to Celeb.

Evidently, Roku and Adweek did not make a deal with the NFL to use the Super Bowl trademarks.

“Roku brings over 90 million streaming households' easy access to the content they most want to watch, including a compelling selection of programming around sports,” said David Eilenberg, head of content, Roku Media, in a statement. “Streaming exclusively on Roku, breakdown of the best Big Game commercials – past and present – makes for an exciting lead-up to the Big Game for our audience.”

“So many fans anticipate and remember the best ads from the Big Game, and this will give them a great destination to relive past favorites and get previews for what’s coming up,” said Will Lee, CEO, Adweek. “Our editorial team provides a great overview of the history of Big Game commercials and how they have evolved over 59 years to become the pop culture phenomena that they are today.”
